Still Life with Palette Knife

November 8th & 9th (2-Day workshop)

Wednesday + Thursday, 10am-3pm | River Gallery School, Brattleboro, VT

Using exclusively painting knives we will create luminous and evocative oil paintings loosely based from still life observation. This workshop will celebrate the act of seeing, careful color observation and color-mixing while reaping the beautiful and unique benefits of working with the palette knife. Students will be fully supported and encouraged in exploring both representational and more abstracted approaches to painting from still life while experimenting with a range of painting knives.

One-one-one instruction will be provided to each student, supplemented by painting demonstrations.

Students are responsible for supplying their own paper, canvas and painting surfaces.
